So, it appears The Lowbrow Lowdown Lackeys have been exceedingly lazy lately. But appearances can be deceiving. In fact, they've only been a li'l lazy. They're just busy doin' stuff that actually pays the bills, unlike this tired Web rag. But no worries, The Lowbrow Lowdown will be back another day, perhaps before Labor Day, even (naw...way before that).
In the meantime, why not check out some of The Lowbrow Lowdown's most sought after content from the past few years. Unfortunately, it's not the self-important wordsmithing Lowbrow Lowdown author Kate Kaye agonizes over, but the ridiculous audio clips that have been featured on the site. Sigh....
K-Tel couldn't beat this collection:
Any chance to feature a clip from Howard Stern's radio show is usually jumped on here at The Lowbrow Lowdown, and the Stern gang's parody of The BackStreet Boys, Backside's Back has been a big hit with folks. Who knew readers of this column dug lowbrow humor? Download the .wav file.

Check out more hilarious ad-related Stern references and clips here.
What do you get when you guzzle down sweets? Fans of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory know the answer is in a l'il ditty sung by The Oompa Loompas. Download the .wav file.

What do you get when you guzzle down beer? Well, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder found out when his request for a tasty brew was made into a goofy song, Hol Mir Mal 'Ne Flasche Bier. Translation: "Get me a bottle of beer, or I will go on strike here." Download the mp3 file.

The Lowbrow Lowdown's Kate Kaye was never much of a Buffalo Bills fan, but the team and the Buffalo culture surrounding it have been recurring topics in this here column. And yes, Talkin' Proud and Shout, two tunes no '80s era Buffalonian could ever forget, have made their way onto these pages, too. Download the Talkin' Proud mp3 and the Shout mp3.

- Any Frigid Sunday
- Bleacher Beer Blast
Disgusted by the shameless sell-outs dominating today's mainstream music industry? Well, guess what? They're no worse than the favorite artists of the past. Even The Who were hucksters! Yep. In 1967, Keith Moon did an ad promoting a milkshake product and Pete Townshend did a spot for (I kid you not) the U.S. Air force. Download the Great Shakes Ad mp3 and the Air Force Ad mp3.

No matter how many brain cells you've killed over the years, if you've ever heard it, chances are you haven't forgotten Cheech 'n' Chong's classic Acapulco Gold Ad. Download the .wav file.
(As for the Full Story? The Lowbrow Lowdown Lackeys can't seem to remember which column this gem was featured in. Blame it on too much damn Acapulco Gold....)
